Just finished my first whole30! The results are amazing! This book has simply changed my life. I know that you aren't supposed to weigh yourself on this program, but weighing myself is a motivator so I decided to skip that rule. It's only been two weeks and already I feel so much better. I am more alert in the mornings and my acid reflex is gone. In addition, my migraines seemed to have disappeared entirely. What is really motivating me is the fact that I lost 15 pounds and 10 overall inches in two weeks. I also love the fact that I have the energy to exercise again. I look forward to continuing this program even after my 30 days are up. I just feel that healthy and energetic! I'll post an update once my 30 days are complete. :)Update: So today is day 18 on my Whole30 journey. I just wanted to let you guys know that there is a lot of cooking involved with this program. I'm actually tired of cooking, which is why I started making large meals to freeze for the week. It actually works out well for me, especially since I don't mind eating the same food everyday. I've also been drinking a lot of tea and water. I feel like it is helping to flush out more toxins from my body. I has been approximately four days since my previous review and I lost an additional 2 pounds on this journey. I have so much energy that I actually am unable to sit still like I used to. I guess I was depressed before going on this journey so the Whole30 has actually improved my mood as well. I go for a walk every day and I've actually started a new workout program!Update: So I just finished Day 23 of my Whole30 Journey and I feel good, aside from the fact that I caught a cold. Weighing myself today, I discovered that I lost 19.5 pounds so far! I measured myself and immediately noted that I lost 19 inches over all (I measure my chest, both arms, both legs, waist, and hips). I think when I am done with my first round, I'll take a day off then start a second round. I just feel that great overall.Update: So I just finished my first whole30 round and I have to say that I'm super excited by the results. When I hopped on the scale today, I noticed that I had lost 26.6 pounds. I then measured myself and noted that I lost a total of 31.5 inches (-5" from chest, -2" from right arm, -3.5" from left arm, -8" from waist, -5" from hips, -4" from right thigh, and -4" from left thigh). I am really excited by my results!I plan to have a celebratory dinner tonight (likely a gluten free pizza from papa Murphy's), then I will start my second round of whole30 tomorrow. I think that I might actually reach my goal of losing 50 pounds by August!I'll keep you guys posted! If you have any questions, feel free to comment. I will do my best to answer them. :)Very good diet to try if you have trouble staying on a diet There are about half a dozen diets that are very similar. They all recommend you eat "meat and veg" The reason Whole 30 works for me is because you can have potatoes and fruit. An example of a whole 30 meal would be: 2 pork chops, mashed potatoes made with chicken stock, green beans, finish with your choice of fruit. My favorite is a few grapes or pineapple chunks. Also the goal it to make it 30 days without cheating. There have been several times I would think: OK I can't cheat now I only have __ more days to go. Having an end in site helped me. When I started adding back in food groups after the 30 days. I figured out that I do not do well with Dairy. Now the only dairy I use is real butter. I never thought I could live without cheese... But now I don't think it's a good idea for me. So it helps you figure out what you can and can not eat and still feel good.

A Merciful Fate (Mercy Kilpatrick) Free Pdf

ISBN: 1503903303
Title: A Merciful Fate (Mercy Kilpatrick) Pdf
Author: Kendra Elliot
Published Date: 2018-12-15
Page: 364

Kendra Elliot has landed on the Wall Street Journal bestseller list multiple times and is the award-winning author of the Bone Secrets and Callahan & McLane series, as well as the Mercy Kilpatrick novels: A Merciful Death, A Merciful Truth, and A Merciful Secret. Kendra is a three-time winner of the Daphne du Maurier Award, an International Thriller Writers finalist, and an RT Award finalist. She has always been a voracious reader, cutting her teeth on classic female heroines such as Nancy Drew, Trixie Belden, and Laura Ingalls. She was born, raised, and still lives in the rainy Pacific Northwest with her husband and three daughters, but she looks forward to the day she can live in flip-flops. Visit her at www.kendraelliot.com.

In the next book in the Wall Street Journal bestselling Mercy Kilpatrick series, there are no such things as little secrets…

Raised by preppers, survivalist and FBI agent Mercy Kilpatrick has a deep-rooted need for a safe place. Her getaway in the Cascade Foothills is her secret. But when skeletal remains are unearthed—those of a murdered man linked to a notorious heist—Mercy realizes she isn’t the only one with something to hide.

Thirty years ago, an armored-car robbery turned deadly. The mastermind was captured. Four conspirators vanished with a fortune. One of them, it appears, never made it out of the woods alive. For Mercy and her fiancĂ©, Police Chief Truman Daly, their investigation opens old wounds in Eagle’s Nest that cut deeper than they imagined. Especially when a reckless tabloid reporter draws fresh blood. It’s clear to Mercy that somebody in this close-knit community is not who they seem to be.

Some are still shattered by the heist. Some still have reason to be afraid. But which one will kill again and again to hide three decades of secrets? To land this case, it’s up to Mercy to unmask a familiar stranger before someone else dies.

Getting tired of Mercy She can't have a normal emotion. Her chest clutches in fear, her heart pounds, her stomach is knotted, she is immobilized with fear. Merci must live in a constant state of fight or flight. She can't even hear that her sister is in labor without clutching with unbearable anxiety and guilt. Good story if the author would dial Mercy down.Do we ever really know someone?? First let me say I love Mercy and these books- each one gets better and better. This is a book about secrets-everyone has them. A 30 year old cold case becomes red hot when a body is found in a wooded cabin. Who is it? How does it tie in with a decades old mystery? Mercy Kilpatrick is on the case and soon has almost more than she can handle with several townspeople in Eagle's Nest being targeted by someone out to frighten them-or worse. What is happening here? Watching Mercy work the case, ferreting out the town's secrets is a guessing game that keeps you on the edge until the last page. Twists abound and just as you have figured things out- boy are you wrong. What adds another layer to this is the fact that Mercy holds her own secrets- only her family and her fiance Truman know the real Mercy. She is a prepper, born and raised into a survivalist family. This is something she has to keep secret from everyone she knows. Obsessively preparing for the end of the world, she has a hidden cabin with stockpiles of supplies that would last years- and the training for as many contingencies as possible. This includes extensive first aid training which she has to use in a heart stopping chapter when one of her fellow officers is wounded. The things that Mercy has in her car and uses to save his life-well, I don't know if they really exist or if Ms. Elliot conjured them up- but if they are genuine, I want some!!!! You never know when someone will be shot, right? The prepper aspect is what makes these books so unique- every time I read the next book (I've read them all) I want to run out and start stockpiling whatever I can find! But these books, in addition to being fabulous crime novels do make me aware that I should not just drift through life, assuming everything will be fine. So yes, I signed up for a first aid class(I gotta start somewhere). I love the irony of this character whose career is spent exposing the secrets of others while guarding her own. Mercy is unique among characters- I don't know whether to admire her or feel sorry for her.She has to keep her true self hidden from everyone, she , in fact, lives a life based on fear- fear of catastrophe, fear of the world ending. The need to be in control, to prepare for every contingency can be exhausting. There's a fine line between having things on hand for emergencies and being obsessed- and it looks like Mercy has crossed the line. One wonders what would happen if the end of the world occurs while Mercy is away from town! She is an amazing woman, and a crack FBI agent, but there's a sadness here-trying to control everything is ultimately futile-but watching her preparations is absorbing. This is a terrific stand alone mystery, but to fully enjoy this book, do read the other books in the series, in order. You understand Mercy's back story, her fractured family, her innocent blind sister Rose (who I love) who is pregnant as a result of a rape, her niece and of course her colleagues and Truman, and this lovely little town which seems to have more criminals than San Quentin.Thank you Kendra Elliot for a wonderful read, and a few hours of escape from the real world, which seems to be going mad. How I wish it could all be wrapped up by someone like Mercy Kilpatrick. I can't wait for Book 6,7,8,9 etc!Another intense and spectacular read I so enjoy the characters from Eagles Nest, Oregon that I read this series for them as much as for the mystery. The fifth book in the Mercy Kilpatrick series involves a 30-year-old bank heist and two Eagles Nest women being terrorized. Add to that Mercy's, Truman's, Ollie's, Rose's and Kaylie's personal lives full of suspense, too, and I had myself riveted to the book and my reading chair. Well done all the way through. No wandering internal monologues, right-on dialogue, just enough action, and a plot that did not disappoint are all the usual with Ms. Elliot's writing. A pleasure to experience.

First 100 Words Free Pdf

ISBN: 0312510780
Title: First 100 Words Pdf

Roger Priddy's passion for educating children through fun, informative and engaging books has led him to create some of publishing's most enduring and successful non-fiction early learning books. Roger lives in London and has three children, who have been the inspiration behind many of his best publishing ideas.

Your little one will soon learn some essential first words and pictures with this bright board book. There are 100 color photographs to look at and talk about, and 100 simple first words to read and learn, too. The pages are made from tough board for hours of fun reading, and the cover is softly padded for little hands to hold.

Perfect for diaper bag This book is perfect for the diaper bag! It's small, and my 13-month old can enjoy it whether or not anyone is available to read it to her. It has kept her entertained through many restaurant mealtimes and car rides. You'll be amazed how many words your child knows when you ask her to point to specific pictures throughout the book!He loves board books and he really seems to enjoy those books in particular so when I saw the ... My 15 m.o. son has had the smaller board book version of First 100 Words, First 100 Animals, and First Numbers & Shapes for months now. He loves board books and he really seems to enjoy those books in particular so when I saw the Lift-the-Flap version I knew I had to buy it. Whenever I ask him to bring me a book to read to him, he chooses these books pretty frequently. He also spends a fair amount of time going through them while pointing at each picture and speaking his toddler language to himself. The lift flaps on this book adds another aspect to keep his interest in the book a little longer. These books have held up fairly well to the abuse my toddler has put them through, the pages have been chewed on, pulled on, bent, books have been thrown, yet none are falling apart. I was a little worried about him tearing the flaps (as he's done with other books) but so far they seem to be holding up. I will continue to purchase these.A great multi purpose educational book I have had this book for the last 6 years. I have had to replace the book once because it is used so incredibly once. I started reading this with my oldest when she hadn't said any words by the time she was a year old. Once we got her autism diagnosis, this is actually one of the 5 books they told us to buy so we can read with her and start working with speech development and recognition and identification of other items. This is great for both receptive and expressive speech development, especially if you read it often. I have 3 girls who all had some speech development issues and this was the first thing that got them saying some words!I don't typically replace kids books because kids interests change so frequently and/or once the book is needing to be replaced, it usually means that the book has been very well used and read for a long time. This book is one of the three exceptions I have. My youngest is 16 months and has a hearing impairment and this book has even assisted in me helping her learn sign language because I could point to a picture and then sign the name. This book can be for any kid even if they don't have a speech delay because it never hurts to learn new words or improve on the words you already know. If the kid knows the words already you can still work with colors, shapes, collecting information ex) how many animals in the book?, letter identification, the list goes on.
